Only prepaid participants will be eligible for door prizes. Tickets for prizes that are raffled will be available for a $1 donation. There is no limit to the number of raffle tickets a paid participant can purchase. The drawing for Door Prizes is at 4:00p.m.. The drawing for the raffle is at 4:45p.m.. YOU MUST BE PRESENT TO WIN for BOTH DRAWINGS. All winners are required to have their photo taken in a manner prescribed by staff as a condition of acceptance.
What to do before coming to the LAN * Prepay on our website. Admission is $15 if you prepay and $20 at the door. NO EXCEPTIONS. * Update your operating system. For Windows goto http://windowsupdate.microsoft.com . * Install/Update your Antivirus program and scan your computer. Go to Grisoft for a free antivirus. * Update Video Card Drivers (optional, but recommended). NVIDIA ATI * Secure your system. Make sure you are not sharing any files that you don't want anyone to get access to. * Install/Update Spyware removal program & scan for spyware. We recommend Spybot Search & Destroy & Ad-Aware. What to Bring to the LAN * Your PC with a NIC installed & a monitor. Make sure your PC meets requirements for the games we will play. * Arkansas LAN liability waiver. If you are under 18, your guardian must sign the waiver or you will not be admitted. * Power-strip/Surge Protector,Flashlight and Headphones. NO Speakers. * Your Game CD’s, Operating System CD(s), and any driver disks you could possibly need. * Money for entry fee, raffle and other food. We usually order Pizza, which is included in the entry fee. Bawls will be available for a $2 donation while they last. Vending machines are available. * Sodas and/or other snacks for yourself to snack on between meals. If you want to bring an ice chest make sure it will fit under your chair or table. The Hot Springs Convention Center has FREE ICE. HOUSE RULES * We rent our gaming space, so please clean up after yourself and be considerate of people you encounter outside the room who may not be gamers. * The party organizers and venue owners are not responsible for any items that may become lost, stolen, or forgotten. * No alcohol, tobacco, or any illegal substances will be permitted. Smoking is permitted outside. * Publicly viewable pornography in any form will not be allowed. Minors will be present that do not need to see it. * We will be guests of the venue and it is important to maintain a cooperative attitude to allow for the possibility of future LAN parties at the same location. * Deliberately cracking/hacking and/or spreading virus code or "worms" will not be tolerated. Anyone caught doing either of these will be ejected without refund. We will persue crimiminal and civil charges against anyone who engages in this activity. (U.S. Code Title 18, Pt. 1, Ch. 47, Sec.1030) * Cheating in any form will not be tolerated. Anyone caught cheating will be ejected. Period. The definition of cheating and the determination if someone is cheating is solely up to the event organizers. * One network port will be available to each gamer. We reserve the right to control all aspects of the network at our discretion (including private servers.) * If internet access is available, please do not download files unless absolutely necessary since bandwidth is limited. * The staff reserves the right to eject disruptive players at any time without a refund. Foul language that is disruptive will not be allowed. NO "F" word. Admins determine what is disruptive language at their discretion. * No one is allowed to "hang out" at the event. Only participants are allowed and you MUST wear your nametag visibly at all times . If you need to have someone not participating (spouse, parent, family member) bring food or help set-up or break-down let a staff member know who they are and what they are doing. Anyone not a participant or approved by the staff will be ejected from the event. |
